Caribbean stud poker is a UK casino table game. The rules of this game are comparable to that of five-card stud poker. The stark difference being that unlike regular poker games, Caribbean stud poker is played against the house. This is very different from other poker bingo games where it is played against other players. A clear assumption from this set rule goes on to suggest one simple truth, i.e., similar to a majority of games that are played against the house it is difficult to beat the odds. Playing against the house minimizes the risks of bluffing or cheating. As such, poker players don’t usually look upon the game as a true poker game. They simply acknowledge the game as Caribbean Stud. You can also play the game in bingo online casino
Major Rules In Caribbean Stud Poker
• Only one hand per player: No player is permitted to hold or wager on numerous hands.
• Players, who choose to play the "Progressive Payout feature", are accountable for making certain that their $1 wager is placed into the slot and the ‘Indicator Light’ turns on.
• Players are not allowed to exchange details regarding their hands to any player at the table and neither to the dealer. A violation of any sort results in a dead hand and all wagers are taken away as penalty.
• An incorrect hand to any player results in a dead hand for that individual.
• Any decision made by the table/casino supervisor is absolute.
• In case a dealer deals one card less during a five-card hand, he/she is to deal an extra card to complete the hand. For any other misdeal by the dealer, all hands are declared void and the deck is reallocated.
• Players need to keep their five cards in full view of the dealer. After players have checked their cards and kept them face down on the layout, they are not permitted to touch the cards again.
• In case a hole card is exposed before the dealer announces ‘No More Bets,’ all hands are declared void.
When a player's cards beat the dealer's, he/she receives even money (1-1) on the ante. The other payouts received by the winning hand are as follows:
• Royal flush 100 to 1
• Straight flush 50 to 1
• Four of a kind 20 to 1
• Full house 7 to 1
• Flush 5 to 1
• Straight 4 to 1
• Three of a kind 3 to 1
• Two pair 2 to 1
• One pair or less 1 to 1
The maximum payout is US$5,000 per hand on a single bet wager. Some of the payouts and limits differ between casinos.
Rule Of Thumb
Despite all player strategies that have been used over the years, it is difficult to outshine Caribbean Stud Poker rules and use them to your advantage. The optimal strategy suggests that the house edge is 5.224% of the player's ante bet.
Knowing other players' hands always decreases the house edge. As such, if you know 6 other player's hands or 30 cards a player can get an edge of 2.3%. This is the reason why Caribbean Stud Poker rules regarding sharing of information between players are so stringent. |
